I broke the glass top of my old coffee percolator, and I lucked up on this one. It serves me well. Sine I love good coffee, this percolator does the job. I am really glad I did.
I am disappointed. It was just better than lukewarm. it wasn't HOT. It is very easy to use. All was great except. No steam.
Nothing. It has a nice classic look on my counter. The coffee tasted better than the previous drip (Folger's Colombian). I thought hot was the perk of the percolator. No drips when pouring. We purchased this percolator at a local store.
It brews quckly (12 cups in about +/- 4 mins). I was looking forward to steam whirling up from my cup.
It's great using the percolator, am happy I made the switch, and I would highly recommend this purchase. The only question I should have asked is if a filter is used to prevent coffee grounds. I am very pleased with the Hamilton Beach 40616 Electric Percolator. It's very easy to use, has a good balance when pouring coffee (even at the dinner table), and the unit keeps my coffee HOT when I'm ready for a refill. There's not enough grounds at the bottom of the pot to alter my opinion, but having used a drip coffee maker for many years, I was surprised to see the grounds.I just chalk it up to extra flavor to the coffee bouquet.
Like the old days. My husband loves the fact his coffee is hot and full body. Will purchase another when this one fail.By the way Cummunity Coffee works great.

Hamilton Beach also sent me a list of all the replacement parts available for this Model 40616 - should I need them at a later date. It's great and very fast. I've had this Percolator for several years. I lost the plug-in due to a recent move and had no trouble at all replacing it. If I ever have to replace it (which I doubt), I'll get the exact replacement.
